My love for flowers began early, growing up working on our family’s vegetable farm. Some of my favorite memories are visiting my grandmother after long days in the fields, where she was always tending her beautiful flower gardens. I’d gather small bouquets to bring home—her daffodils were always my favorite.

After my grandmother passed and the family farm was sold, I pursued a career in healthcare. Throughout the pandemic, while caring for patients, I felt a growing pull toward something that brought me peace and joy. When the world slowed down, I returned to what had always made me happiest—flowers. That’s when Backyard Blooms was born.

In May of 2020, I picked fresh blooms from our backyard, arranged them into bouquets, and set them out by the road for Mother’s Day weekend. Every bouquet sold within an hour. That moment confirmed what I had been searching for.

Since then, Backyard Blooms has grown from backyard garden beds into flourishing flower fields and greenhouses filled with specialty cut flowers. We design florals for weddings, supply local florists, host a roadside flower stand, and since 2022, bring our blooms to farmers markets in Montauk, East Hampton, and Sag Harbor—sharing flowers grown in our fields directly to your home.
